How This Website Works
Sell Your Business in Florida helps Florida business owners find the right broker to sell their business. This page explains what we do, what we do not do, and how the site is paid for.
What we do
You tell us about your business in a short form. We review each request and introduce a short list of business brokers or M&A advisors who sell Florida companies and whose experience fits your industry, size and part of the state. You interview them and decide whether to hire anyone.
What we do not do
- We are not a business broker or an M&A advisor, and we do not value, list or sell businesses.
- We do not hold deposits, escrow or any deal funds.
- We do not give legal, tax or financial advice. Speak with your own attorney and accountant before you sign.
How the site is paid for
Owners pay nothing to use the site or to be matched. Some brokers and advisors in our network may pay us for introductions. That does not change the fee a broker quotes you, and you are never obliged to hire anyone we introduce. If a firm we introduce is affiliated with the owner of this website, we will tell you before the introduction.
How we choose who to introduce
We look at the industries and deal sizes a broker or advisor has closed, which Florida counties they work in, and whether they hold the Florida real estate license that Chapter 475, Florida Statutes, requires of anyone brokering a business sale for a fee. We do not guarantee any broker’s results, price or conduct. Ask every broker the questions on our checklist and look up their license on the Florida DBPR license search before you sign.
Numbers and rules on this site
Every market figure and every Florida rule names its source, such as the Florida Statutes, the Florida Department of Revenue or the SBA Office of Advocacy, with a link. We do not publish reviews, ratings or success counts we cannot back up.
